im running stock rims/tire size etc, i found some rims they're 17's but it looks like my stock tires are already like 3/4 of an inch away from hitting the bottom of my strut...i know someone on here is running 17's i was wondering how to get around this?
I run 205/40 R17's on my 17x7 rims. Make sure you check the offset of the rims before you buy them. you can go up to a +38 offset. FYI tire read [Tire Width] / [Aspect ratio] - [Wheel Diameter] Basicaly the larger the Wheel Diameter you go with the smaller the aspect ratio needs to be
there are the rims i REALLY want to buy: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/1141526119.html problem is the offset is 40 is there ANY way i can make these fit?
Here's a really handy offset calculator http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp And a handy tyre size calculator http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp Sounds like you need 5mm spacers (you may not need all 4 of them) & 205/35/17's Be sure to leave a gap between the tyre and shock, the tyres do move around on corners and can explode when they rub.
