Puget Sound 88 GT vert for sale

    hi i am looking to sell my 88 Celica GT Convertible. i am asking $500, it currently doesn't have a top, and i just pulled rails off of another car since mine were broken. i have been unable to supply power to the pump or the rear windows. it has 140k miles on it and burns a bit of oil if it sits for a long time. all in all its deffinetely not beautiful but it could be if someone took the time with it. I have a new son, working full time, and i'm going to school full time so i just dont have time for it. i will be contacting the scrap yard if not sold. i really hope i can give this car a better home.

    OK, I got to see what a can hustle up... Anything barter wise you may be looking for? Tama Drum setup, tools, vintage video games, laptops, portable DVD players, old coins and currency? I gotta ton of cool crap like that... Guy stuff... lol

    happen to have a trailer to tow a car with? i have a different car that might need moved lol cash is best of course, but some mechanics tools are always nice.

    I can come up with some cash now... And tools I got for sure.... I have a friend with a trailer, but Marysville may be a little to for to hire him for... lol

    well i've got some good/bad news depending on how you look at it.....the celica is no longer for sale! lol turns out i will be needing it since one of my cars crapped out on me.....so i guess i HAVE to follow through with my plans of putting a top on it and painting it. DANG!!! ;)

    Dang's right........... Rick had a new baby then lost a new baby but still the wreckers didn't eat your baby :hehe........ good luck with it .......... how long have you had the car ?......... that front lip looks in remarkably good condition for our cars and do my eyes deceive me but most of the vents in that lip look blocked :scratch

    also i have had the car for a year and STILL haven't been able to drive it legally. the plates expired back in 09, and i've been fighting with the previous owner for the paperwork. i finally got a title after almost a year.....i had to threaten the bugger with going to court to get him to cooperate. but it has been worth it seeing as how i only payed $95 for it :)

    That's the first solid one I'v ever seen, except on the toyota corona, Could you please take a close up pic of the spoiler and post it here............ I'm sure there will be a few people interested in this one and I just noticed that there looks like the left hand side panel is missing, possibly an air intake ? :cheers

    $95 bisciuts is a bargain, so you got all paperwork now ?............ what's needed for rego ?......... engine pic please.......... much/any rust........... yeah the paint looks a tad rough but even still with some TLC and doing it properly it will still come up trumps........ there's plenty of help here and CelicaSteve is one of the gurus of detailing.

    i dont see what you are talking about a panel missing? i will go out and take a pic of it tomorrow (if i remember!). are you looking at the front pic of the car? and are we still talking about on the lip that hangs down.

    Yes the front of the car, the lip that hangs down, sometimes reffered to as an air dam, splitter, diffuser, spoiler or valance, I have no idea what the official terminology is but hey, now you know what I'm gassing on about :hehe

    from what i have seen there is only a little bit of surface rust on the edge of the hood. none elsewhere. the person i bought this car from always kept it in the garage, but constantly had stuff piled on top of it, hence the missing/broken top. the body and panels are all straight and dent free, all i need to do is get a top for it and fix the brakes and she will be road worthy. i was originally going to pay the guy $500 but on the test drive the tranny seized up from having to lubrication. so i gave him 95 and got a used transmission out of a car w/ 100k.


    okay so what panel are you talking about? there aren't any missing from the spoiler.
