    Hello fellow Celica owners!

So I finally wanted to share our project from last summer. Even though it's not ready yet.

All this started from a rusty, ruined, sunburned and high mileage car. The car itself was cheap because of the previously mentioned reasons, it was not inspected (donno the word), it had a lot of missing parts and they are about to be pretty rare these days. When we got the car inspected, it was just a car to my use but last summer we started to do the paintjob to the car. Went to work, after work I went to fix the cars rusty places and fiberize them to their original shapes. Days then were almost the same.

    But lets quit bullshitting. :razz

These are from the day I bought the car.

I'll post pictures from the project soon!

Here are the pictures how the project started. The project was tricky because I did not own another car to use. :roll

Disassembling is really funny until you get to unscrew the rustiest bolts from the most rusted body panels.

    Back soon!

    Hello Nomad,

The car looks good, cant wait to see the progress pics.

Did you find the car online?

Do you know of any places to get used cars cheap near Helsinki? or any websites for winter rally race schedules? or race clubs?

I'm gonna be in Nurmijarvi trying to see some ice/snow rally races in mid-January 2015. Finns sure do love their rally races...

Rear fenders were the spots where we started from. Someone has replaced them before, but not quite well enough.

Result was that we ended up with em nicely.

I didn't get so much pictures from doing the doors nor front fenders. But sandpapering the bottom front of the fender was pain in ass.

    Back with you very soon!

So.. As usually my t16's whindshield was leaking because of the rust. Also the control box of the sunroof was all blue because the roof was sweating and leaking water in, but i got it fixed with new control box.

So close to painting!! At this part when everything is ready and you have to start your first paintjob. That makes you stress. :eek:hnoes But you just have to do what you started.

Bumpers, spoiler and some small parts were painted first and then the body, doors and fenders.

Had to paint the rear fenders again.. :( They wrinkled even when we tried to "drain" the paint.

Repaint wen well, so we waited the paint to dry and then we started painting the black parts.
