So my 165 has been running super rich ever since i finaly got it goin and ive been poking around under the hood whenever i get a chance and found these plug ins not connected to anything. Anyone know what they are? 1st one comes from thr back of the intake and i belive is the turbo pressure sensor. 2nd one comes of the top of the water pipe on the side of the head 3rd one is blue and on the passenger side by the firewall BTW it is a JDM motor. Anyone with a 165 can you check your engine for me PLEASE! Help save a trac!
i have a jdm engine and theres 4 wires coming off the boost sensor on the throttle body, i do recognise the black/red wire it might be the boost map sensor for gauge and fuel cut. does the other wire go to a little box with a vaccum line on it? the 3sgte it so hard to track wires and hoses on you can see anything
the blue plug in pic # 3? I assume thats the red and black wire your talkin about? The turbo pressure senosr thats on the firewall is already plugged in. Im pretty sure ive plugged the little blue on in before and then had to un hook it when i pulled my harness out. The black plug in picture 1 and 2 comes form the top of the water outlet right here.
NOw to just try an get to the VSV. I probally have to take the lower support braces out to get at it huh? I cant see any other way. Another question, would that vsv being un hooked cause me to run low boost? My cars only hitting like 5-6psi.
i notices that was on my car yesturday and unplugged. i dont have the recieving one beside it though, is it part of some kind of emissions b/c mine are a ll removed
well i plugged in the blue plug to the boost senosr and replaced my cap and rotor. The cap and rotor were both pretty destroyed inside. MY RPM range is alot smoother but still only boosting 5psi, but i think its probally caused by my crappy turbo seals, i found alot of oil in my intake. Luckily i have a spare ct26. Is there anything i should do before putting the other turbo on like pre-oil it or anything?
it's not your turbo. pull the intake off and see if you have shaft play. if not then there is another issue. oil in the intake track is normal for these.
oh ya theres is more than enough shaft play to warrant this. How much does a turbo rebuild kit cost and where can i get one? Im gonna put my spare one on and rebuild my crappy one.
