is there some sort of drain in there that lets rain water go down and maybe it is blocked? just wondering maybe someone know that doesnt have a vert. or maybe non vert cars maybe have this

there should be a rubber grommet that you can take out, but then it might let water in when driving when it's raining

you can also check your side vent within the door jamb...i found mine to be leaking......the best way to find any leaks in our cars, no matter the style....coupe vert or hatch.......is to take all of the interior out, including the back plastics.....if you have a front leak its best to take the dash out as well......

i found several small leaks when i did this, i did this tho when i was swapping out interiors so it made more sense to check with it out........

so take out ALL of your interior and then put the top up and sit inside with a marker of some kind and have someone spray down your car with a hose and go over every inch of your cars interior......checking the inside of the interior panels as well......im sure you'll not only find this leak but a few others you didnt even know about.

it will be an all day project but its worth it.

I know I'm resurrecting a dead thread, but I recently ran into this problem too. There was recently some flooding in my area, and between the deep water I drove through to get home and the pouring I had a small puddle on my floor. The next day I removed my seats and carpet. The front seats just bolt out, the seat belts are connected with bolts where they meet the floor, and the center console is connected by a number of screws along the sides, and more if you open the center compartment. I had to unhook a number of wires connected to the center console as well. I removed the carpet, and took a shop vac to the entire frame, as well as the carpet. I used scotch guard carpet cleaner and the shop vac to completely clean my carpet and seats, and took the opportunity to do a little better of a wiring job on my speakers. I allowed the carpet and seats to dry, then I reassembled the interior and fixed the weatherstripping leaks. The entire looks great and I didn't grow any mold. Hope that is helpful.

rob, welcome to the forum! feel free to post your ride on the rides section! as for the soaking, for hatchbacks at least, the rear side windows are known to also leak as their rubber seals are softened up. check that before it soaks up again

Thanks for the welcome, I will post some pics when I can grab a few shots. I've been stalking the forum for a while now, thought it was about time I started posting things :cool

As for the rear leakage, I have experienced some of that after my fix, but I'm not sure whether that can be attributed to some small tears in my top or my rear window some joker slashed. I'm getting a new top installed Wednesday that I'm hoping will solve the issue.

Oh no, a stalker :mrgreen ......... welcome Rob, your in the right forum now, there's plenty to read and learn or ask questions......... where are you ?

Anyone with leaks needs help with someone to spray hard with the hose.

Thank you for the welcome as well, Spiderman. I completely agree with you.... I had help with that when I tested my weatherstrip repair job... it's a shame you can't find new stripping anywhere. I found a small puddle in the center of my headliner last rain, which is why I am suspicious of the top in this case. :cry

Yeah, best I've been able to find is the gasket seal fix. I emailed convertibletopguys and called JCWhitney to no avail. I've not had much luck, seems like it's just not produced anymore. It was about a month or so ago when I looked, though.
