    Ok so my GTS started overheating the last couple days. You can hear the water boiling in the resevoir. So I reach down and feel the lower radiator hose. Its cold. The top is burning to the touch. So I thought it was a thermostat. I just replaced it and took it around the block and it over heated again. Still the bottom radiator hose is cold. What else could be the problem.

    The water pump is new. About a year and a half old.

    It does have a few problems but please try and think of any other things that could be wrong. I am trying to get another DD running so Im wiery on spending the money that I would need to get the other running if these parts wont fix my problem.

    Crack in top of radiator
    Need new radiator cap
    Need coolant. (Has water because we keep toping it off with water)

    ~~~~~Main Concern is Bottom Radiator Hose it Cold~~~~~
    UPDATE:
    2:52pm Put new Radiator cap on and it doesn't boil into the resevoir. It overheats and spits the steam out the crack in the top of the radiator
    Does it rely on pressure to push open the thermostat.
    UPDATE:
    5:35pm Put the radiator from the alltrac in there to see if it was the radiator. It was the car doesn't overheat anymore. So this friday on payday Im going to go buy a new radiator.
    I think the thermostat is based on the temperature... Gone over all the connections for the thermo already?
    temp and pressure. if you have a leak your car will not build the correct pressure to keep the boiling point high and open the thermostat.
    Well it overheats again. I think its the water pump now because its making a whirrring now. This engine had a problem with a water pump previously. It like got warped and caught the wall on the inside. Seized it up and shredded the timing belt. So Im wondering if it going to do it again.
