    Hi -

Can anyone who has an old school rims installed in their 162 show me some pics. I really wish the Enkei Apache and Enkie 92 has a 5 bolt pattern to fit our cars... I'm really digging the old style rims to match our cars but I'm finding it hard to find that fits...

    Thanks!

When you say 'old school' I will assume original as well.......... I have the same as Steve in the first pic and his car looks like the one in the foreground......... I'm not liking the rims in the second pic.

Mine are white in keeping with the 'White Lightning' theme, check it in the 'members ride' thread :cheers2

Yup, never liked them, polished maybe ?

I remember that pic of yours from last year and it's a nice side-by-side comparison......... those rims in your second pic might be kosher for our cars, depending on the colour car and/or if the rims were to be painted or left alone and polished............ Easier to keep clean too as Steve will agree that ours suck big time but hey.........

eNtrax - the last pic you showed is actually on my list too... when I used to live in the Philippines, we call that style the "banana type" because of how the spokes looked.. if im not mistaken those are the panasport's g7... and those are the kind of rims I am pertaining too... sorry if my old school term was kinda vague...

but to give you an idea, here are some of the rims i want to have... it's just all of them are 4 bolt pattern...

Photoshopped Enkei 92s on my 162 a while back.

btw, they do make them in 5 lug (albeit in 5x114.3 and 5x120), albeit you'd have to run adapters, redrill, or do a hub conversion...

Pontiac Fiero meshies are also in 5x100 if you don't mind the lack of a big lip and have a small budget to work with. ;)

    Hope that helps! :)

Yup another choice of mine. Rota actually makes a copy of it but again, i can only find a 4bolt pattern.

Says the guy with the blue Celica. hahahaha

OP, if you don't mind 16's, you can also check out XXR 002's, and Miro STP1's as those were also made in our 5x100 bolt pattern. ;)

i like the gotti j55a. i was trying to do the old school wheels forever but like your finding out thier hard to find in a 5x100. i saw a set of the gottis on ebay for something insane like $250....maybe $500, cant remember, but slacked on it. they were perfect. you can order them new with custom specs, but $$$$$$.

-theres probably a couple ways you could get to a 4x100 but none are going to be easy. best way may be a spacer that converts from 5x100 to 4x100 with new studs. i think it was $350 to have a set made.

lol I don't recall. Just found some gold meshies on Google, and PhotoSlapped them onto a Celica. XD
Although they are pretty similar to the Racing BBS wheels...

$250-$500 is supposed to be insane? 0_0 LOL, that's less than a set of Rota's, and those things are cheap! :p

those are nice suggestions... i'll definitely be on the look out... i've been trying to locate any posts in the forum about rim sizes and offsets for our cars... anyone can point me to the right direction? i did search but it seems im not finding what i need...

if im putting on rims, this is purely for looks and no aspirations of racing or anything... i just want a good stance that it functional as a dd...

You've got a GTS right? Factory wheel specs on the GTS are 5x100 PCD and +38 offset. The fronts are about right though you can take a few mm out of the offset without scrubbing, the rears sit a long way inside the top of the guards though, so you can use wheels with a much lower offset or spacers to fill them out.

stock GT-S is 14x6, 54.1 bore as well as what MattC said.

for a nice finish you want a 16x7 wheel, 5x100, 54.1mm bore, +38 offset front, +38 rear with 20-25mm spacer.

i would love for someone to do this...the only modification needed would be to roll fenders
    - 16x7 front 195/40/16 @ +35
    - 16x8 rear 195/40/16 @ +22....yes it would fit, if these sizes existed in 5x100...

That's why I wanted 3-piece rims, you can have whatever offset you want :D
