is it common for it to leak out of the bolt?? cauz im not sure but i think mine has been dented so its been leaking (no not my fault, it was that way when i got it from my uncle). i had it stopped by an inventive means but when i got the oil changed clearly the shop didnt use my solution again so its leaking again. :p bastards

so first does anyone have a picture of a proper one? aka no dents etc in the pan... (dont ask y i used proper... watching too much fifth gear and top gear i guess). Also does anyone know how much it costs to get a new one and where to get a new one?

cookie sheets work good :p Mine is pissing so much oil cuz of my Valve cover leak, and my new synthetic oil, its just too cold for me to go out and put the silicone gasket maker in the corners to stop the leak

The rusty looking one is from a 3sge engine the new looking one is from a 92 camry with a 5sfe engine. I got the new one at canadian tire. I don't remember how much it was. Probably $100-$150. It is the same bolt pattern as the 3sge but I don't know about clearances.

Your bolt should also have a washer. In most cases I think they are some sort of nylon or some plastic that does not melt. I think the one that came with the camry pan (which is pictured) may be aluminum.

is that new camry pan on your car now?? if so is it working well and such? i mean everything about it looks just about identical so i cant imagine it wouldnt work but stranger things have happened...

and thanks again for the pictures and help!!

The Camry one actually looks bigger in the photos.

could be, but i think it might look that way because the black stands out better in pictures then rust colour.

The camry pan is a bit bigger in some areas but overall height is the same. I don't know if the middle hump in the camry pan would clear the front to back engine support on the celica.

No the pan is not installed on my celica I need a special pan specifically for All Tracs that has a big hole in the side of it. The camry pan is for my camry if I ever get around to installing it.

dammit ST165, seeing your tim hortons cup makes me want tim hortons lol but on topic for 100-150 getting a new celica pan from crappy tire or somewhere might be worth it. This leak is really really bugging me... and my parents since my car gets the garage :D (dont ask how that worked out, but im not complaining lol after all they could clean out the other side and put one of their cars in it) and its leaking oil on the floor.
