No power to fuel pump

Discussion in 'Diagnosis/Help' started by silentsnow31802, Apr 13, 2009.

  1. I am not getting power to my fuel pump. I have checked all the fuses I can find and theyre all good. I ran +12V to the power wire and the car fired right up. What could be the issue? I am not getting power to the blue with black striped wire.

well your circuit open is on your ecu, its just a relay, if its ticks when you turn the key on chances are its good.. as for the fuel pump resistor, just check it with a ohm meter across the terminals, i dont have the spec on me, ll ill find them for you in the morning... its too late for me to go messing with this lol

  5. Oh man if you could get those specs I would greatly appreciate it! No rush though, its late here too, 11PM, so I wont be messing with it until tomorrow anyways.

i wouldn't worry about the resistor. check the fuses. turn the key on and have someone push open the flap on the AFM and see if the opening relay clicks. it's located right on the ecu. black with a yellow harness connector. if that works, repeat the AFM trick and see if the relay on the firewall clicks. that one is located right next to the ignitor unit where the strut tower brace bolts to the firewall.
