Hi, I just got my '86 GTS a week ago and love it. It's a one owner, all records, beautifully maintained, with 181k. It needs a few things which it will get in a few weeks:
    New tires (BFG)
New struts & strut mounts (KYB)
    F&R strut braces (Whiteline)
New climate control & power window switch (ebay)
The clutch feels soft, so that may be in store, too.

It's been ages since I've had a car just for fun and I'm gonna enjoy working on this and making it scream. I'm an old road racer/ralliest from way back, so the plans are to make it a killer street car, nothing radical, just done right.

Nice, Tom. Glad to have you onboard. Sounds like she'll turn out to be a clean ride.

BTW, I believe there's a group buy still going on for Whiteline over on Toyotanation. I got my strut braces through it for less than $300 for the pair w/ shipping included!

We also have a wholesale account with shox.com for your KYB struts/mounts, etc.

    David,
I just missed the group buy, but got them for 10% over the GB price, so not too bad. I didn't know about the shox.com deal, I got mine from AJUSA.com - the best price I found anywhere. Oh well....

Now if it would just stop raining up here for a few days, I might be able to do some work on this thing!

Pretty nice, brings back a lot of memories of driving my rally/race cars on the street - harsh, noisy, no radio, uncomfortable, and FUN! :D

I got my wish, it stopped raining finally, but the winds were over 80mph and now I don't have power and lots of trees down on the property. At least none fell on our cars this time (not so lucky last year.) Guess we're paying for the great summer. Someday I'll have time to work on the Celica...
