Exactly so hard Double clutching and waiting for the gear to catch up seems to work Want to throw the proper box in Is it an s54 ? 4.1:1 What's involved in the swap
http://www.st162.net/forum/showthre...ore-jdm-oddities&p=48124&viewfull=1#post48124 You'll want to swap in the driveshafts from an SX while you're at it
So I've been playing with different filters and this seems to be my favourite Here's a photo before last nights touge run along with my mates b18c converted honda crx
i think what is restricting your power is the 3s-fe exhaust manifold. at least get the 3s-ge 4-2-1 stock manifold/bpipe
Yeh replaced that 4 months ago with the ge manifold on with a 2 inch exhaust high flow cat 12 inch hot dog and sports muffler But ever since I changed that and the air filter top end has died, tvis isn't opening and for the first 5 minutes on cold start the car misfires I'm thinking leads and plus
So last week I replaced my power steering pump, steering rack and ends. What I learnt was old mate Toyota hates us 4th gen enthusiasts very much. Motor out to do pump I then decided to take a new approach with the car Going to remove my amp and subwoofer Remove all carpet Turn the car into a touge street car I'm a bit clueless when it comes with the battery relocation Now what's involved, what parts will I need and does anyone have any installation tips ?
I'm thinking ign timing and/or injectors blocked/too small? T-VIS is normally open, when the motor is idling vaccum pulls it shut As for the p/s pump, there's no need to remove the motor, with the rack out it's even easier to swap the p/s pump How does the B18 CRX compare? My 3S-GE hybrid eats them for breakfast, lunch & dinner. On uphills the difference is embarrasing as is the Toyota 1.8 VVT
Someone lock tighted the top bolt :/ The crx kills me Need the correct box then I'll give him another run
Has been some time since i updated, have done a far bit of work on the car. *wired up the fog lights *60mm asi aluminium radiator *st205 silicone hoses bottom wouldnt fit *stripped interior *whiteline rear sway bar *5 stud conversion with gt4 brakes *zenki tail light conversion *removed mud flap *getting a b pillar brace made up *stainless steel bash plate being made * removed centre vents and getting a plate made up to house gauges. also mocked up what the new wheels will look like Alot more to come this year so definately stay tuned.
You have been busy Good work so far, I like how the fogs look. I would like to see it from the front, as in looking at the grille.
I'll take a photo tomorrow for you Just $20 eBay specials man Have to find an s53 box, rebuild, LSD diff Have a huge order of genuine parts coming from japan Got to start on the bonnet vents Wire tuck and battery to boot Ever since I quit mechanics have had the motivation to get stuff done
Oh I have, I tried that, my issue was that the hose was then straight, as soon as the engine moves a little the hose pops off
Money's money at the end of the day I work 2 jobs Hardly get a chance to drive the car as I'm always working
I use my car for my job so i get to drive mine all the time and i love it. Despite cash flow issues though i do end up doing a few things to the poor gal. heres mine if you havnt seen her yet. http://www.st162.net/forum/showthread.php?6994-My-Celica
