Hey guys I've come to a realisation That I need more power. Been reading up on 3rd gen 3sge swaps with great success. Now my question is, I'm using my car for a lot of twisty road racing. Would I be Better off going a worked 3sge 3rd gen or do I go a worked 3rd gen 3sgte with an awd conversion ? What would be a better option ?
A heavily worked 3rd-gen GE probably still won't have the power of a bog-standard 3rd-gen GTE but WILL cost you a butt-load more (ask me how I know that). If you think you'll want an AWD turbo just cut to the chase and buy a GT4. Have you considered a GTE in your car with an aftermarket mechanical LSD? That would go hard and you'd still get good grip in the twisty's without the weight and power drag of an AWD system. Something else to chew on. Cheers Matt
Thanks for the advice I did think about a gte conversion but my worry was traction issues of a turbo fwd on bumpy twisty roads That's why I thought 3rd gen with 130kw atw with a stripped interior would be a more suitable choice. Just wanted some advice on what way to go I'm happy to throw 10k into a motor as I love the response of a high revving n/a
