also, does a st185 have a MAP sensor is that the boost pressure sensor?? i heard out boost sensors are just for the stock gauge and cutting fuel supply at 19 psi

first get yourself an oil pressure gauge. That is a must b/c it allows you to then get your oil off a t-fitting where the OEM oil gauge use to sit. It also provides an oil source for your new oil gauge that will save your motor. oh and make sure you use COPPER to run the oil to the gauge.

secondly, st185 engines still have an AFM. The MAP sensor looking thing is as you suspected a boost pressure sensor. It is for controling your boost gauge and fuel cut. Removing fuel cut isn't safe if you don't know what you are doing b/c it elimantes the manufactures safety net. Make sure you have the necessary gauges and parts before you do.

get a damn electric oil pressure gauge, you don't want to fuck up and have hot oil inside your cabin!

fuel supply gets cut at 12 psi on a st185.

I can have custom oil lines made for you if you take the necessary measurements.

i guess to each their own opinion. I personaly do not trust too much electric gauges. Call me old fashioned. I guess my fear is that they are not as accurate.

Its good to take a look at both options. Just be ware of the price difference.

185 fuel cut varries between the years and models. 90-91 are at 12. 92-93 are at 16. rc/cs are at 19.

This may have no bearing to what your asking- But with the all the turbo related wiring goes to the PSI slot on the ECU, Im still trying to figure that out...

How did you do on the wiring Harness

mitt i'm not sure why yours was so bad. i've helped snyder do the 185 harness swap and it wasn't nearly as complicated as yours.

Well I think I have a USDM Harness, and the majority of writeups are using a JDM harmness, so the colors in the diagrams are different, So Um Mafix do you want to go to Malibu ??
