1. I mean when the vsv electrics are unplugged? - not the hoses, removing hoses from any running motor is a really bad idea 2. I think that VSV is faulty, mine don't ever make noises 3. I'm not much use to you as I don't have the EGR system, Mafix has already explained that!
More problem??? Last weekend I changed the spark plugs, the wires, and flushed my radiator. I replaced it with some Toyota Parts but after having the car warm up for a while, the RPM sat around 1500. Before the small tune up, my RPM sat at 1100 after being warmed up. What could it be? and Why? Also, today I may have made the dumbest mistake. I left the car running and my fan does not operate on its own so the car overheated. The fluid from the Coolant Reservoir spilled and I immediately turned on the fan and turned off the engine. I filled the Reservoir back, kept the fan on and started the engine and still reads HOT on the Temp Gauge. What's the worst thing that could've possibly happened and what can I do at this time? Thanks again for the help.
check your oil for coolant to make sure you didnt warp or crack anything. did you let the motor cool down after you restarted it?
I think I cooled the motor down before restarting it. I checked the dipstick and didn't notice it being milky! At this time should I refill the Radiator with more Coolant? Does anyone else have any idea why my RPM still sits around 1500 after being warmed up?
You shoulda left it running with the fan on to circulate the colder water, yeah, top it up when cold Check your EFI temp sender, (the green one) - it should read 2-4 Ohms cold and 0-0.5 Ohms hot Other than that it could be timing is too advanced, air screws too open, throttle stop needs adjusting, TPS etc Check all your electrical connections around the motor as well If you have aircon, switch it on with the engine running, revs should rise slightly - adjust the white plastic knob on the intake manifold near the cambelt cover Check all your vacumm pipes and your air intake pipe for cracks/leaks
