hi i have a 89 gt-s , i was driving the other day cruising around when suddenly i go to take off all fast and it took twice as long to get to speed. im new to cars so help is helpful. thanks guys
Welcome. were gonna need to see pics of her before you get any advice. :hehe just kidding. there are quite a number of things that could cause this. so we may need a bit more detail on circumstance and maybe previous work? do you have a check engine light (CEL) on? -we all would love to see pics of the car and maybe a brief intro?
need more info then what you've said so far.......any noises or weird hesitations? plus we need pics!!!!!! lol
haha ok i havent heard any noises or any thing, but there is a little bit of smoke at night time when i drive but it dosent smell like oil or anti freeze. and no the cel isent on, i think it may be the throttle position sensor cause when this problem happens it seams like shes not getting enough gas, but when i realease and apply the gas again it works.
Check your air intake boot! The big boot between your air box and throttle body! They dry rot and crack all the time. Make sure you inspect it well, sometimes it cracks right in the bend and when it is just sitting, it looks ok!
