this evening i went leak hunting and heres what i found
some unplugged vac hose to turbo
    [IMG]
which lead to this cracked manifold.
which lead to discovery of no bolt by the lower down pipe bolt...which lead to me realizing the turbo stay is missing
    [IMG]
    which lead to this
    [IMG]
    then this
    [IMG]
    and this
    [IMG]
and finally this after a short while
    [IMG]
has anyone every had the exhaust manifold welded or would recommend it?

    WTF happened to your turbo???
that one vac line that is disconnected is for the turbo vsv which needs to be removed to up the boost with a controller.

I'm really curious what all the white stuff on the turbo is. can't be fried that freaking bad.

oh no...i raised the brightness on that pic...there isnt at all that much whiteness on it....only some near the wastegate port
soo with that line off..it ups the boost? I better get a gauge on there and a mbc.
But what happens with the line capped off and no mbc mafix?

nothing leave that alone. it disables the vsv. it doesn't hurt a thing, unless you are restoring it.
