JDM 3sge

    will the JDm 3sge hook up to an american harness/ecu and run? I just ordered a JDM 3sge with no emission on it so im hoping it will be like the GTE and bolt right up.

    Since the JDM 3SGE doesn't have EGR, and your ECU is used to seeing one...error codes and probably weird fuel/air mixtures galore. But yeah, it'll run. Probably. me = noob

    egr system doesnt have any electronics behind it :)

    I was under the impression that it was somehow controlled by the ECU, and if the ECU didn't recognise one, stuff would happen. Clearly, I was wrong. :)

    Sick im stoked im gonna have 2 4th gens, all trac and GTS both with JDM motors, i wanna make the GTS gnarly, maybe i'll go ITB with it, we just an ITB setup on a Nissan VG30 V6

    itb would be sweet but you'll kill the torque curve.

    I've got the jdm engine with all the usdm crap. It was years ago but I'm pretty sure I just ripped the egr crap out and I haven't had any issues

    Yes. I used my old manifold and intake on the head. I removed the EGR and Charcoal canister.

    My car has ballz... runs better than ever. If you have lots of miles (mine had 140K) you should get the fuel injectors rebuilt/cleaned. It helps alot because I was losing alot of fuel flow from clogged injectors.

    I had a JDM G motor on a USDM ecu. Worked fine...dont think it would have passed an echeck though.
