hey guys ok i got some new gauges lol yes ones i already have in the dash oh well !!! im only starting out so just really going for looks but want them to work ok , i got have got

a new tach , water temp , and oil pressure , all electric gauges i believe ,

ok so how would i wire them into the ecu to get the signals etc? , i know all the grounding and postitive etc , just which like signals ones?

whch of the rpm wires do i use?

do i use the coolant temp sensor wire for the water temp gauge?

but for the oil pressure my dash already has 1 but of course i want the new gauge to be my flasher 1 lol , so what wire do i use for that etc??

thanks guys will get pics of the install

ok i looked on my ecu , and for

G- : wire is thin red
    G1 : thin dark green
    G2 : thin white
    NE : thin black

    Thw : median thick red

sorry to be a pain , so which wire should i use for my rpm sensor for the gauge ??

also do i use the thw for the water temp sensor ??

also have a oil pressure senor , which wires do i tap into in the car for that ??

im really lost with this and dont wanna screw up anything , so any help would be appreciated ,

    thank you!

lol even tho no one has replied for instructions i coundnt help but have a play

so i connected the sensor wire from my new water temp gauge to my coolent temp sensor wire , and
well something bad happened , really really bad!!!

ok lol the car drove down the driveway fine , then it started loosing power , etc engine light came on , and starting misfiring badly and blew black smoke , and im like wtf!!!!

, so got dad to push me back into the car port , then i took off the wire , reset the ecu , started her back up and she was all good to go , im completely lost why it would of done that but i dont care now as it is back to normal

so can someone at least give me the correct rpm wire? , i tryed one 1 um g1 ? i think but that had no results , im gonna give up on the oil pressure one and temp sensor , as no im not in the mood for playing anymore and scaring the crap out of me and thinking my cars stuffed ,

so please guys i know some one knows the rpm signal wire!!

i took apart the dash to look and all i see is a bunch of wires going into it so dont know which wire i use for the rpm

browsed a few webbys 2nyt and found one saying to use the igniter wire , igt or igf also found it in the technical section under a 3sgte ecu tho will def give it a shot 2mrw :D

the RPM signal wire goes to negative wire on the ignition coil!

    edit:

also remember these guages are for use with normally 4,6, and 8 cylinders! you need to have it on the right setting, there should be a switch if u unscrew it, you probably have wrong RPM reading because the tacho is set either to 6 or 8 cylinders
