I Bought another Celica

Hey guys, like many of you out there, I can't stop acquiring 4th Gens - it must be a sickness.
Well, today I looked at an 86GTS hatchback and will be adding it to my stable tomorrow evening.
(My others are: 88 All-Trac and 89 GTS HB.)

The Good:
- 1 original owner since 86, leather wrap intact on steering wheel & shift knob(!), all papers, records,
- Pewter metallic grey colour, no tears in driver's seat and mint interior,
- no accidents save for someone backing up & cracking the front 'Celica'
- clean; no rust except one tiny bit on one rear quarter panel
- low mileage, only 180,000 kms or about 114,000 miles
- engine pulls strong & hard; idles quiet & dead steady
- tight tranny; no 2nd gear 'crunch'

The Bad: (mostly minor)
- PS pump or hose leaking,
- leak in rear hatch window trim; some water in spare wheel well,
- driver's sun visor missing,
- pax rear speaker not working,

The Ugly:
- engine has some oil leaks; VC gasket for sure, maybe more...?
- a few deep rock dents from highway but the body is straight.

Storage is gonna be a PITA but I couldn't pass it up.

Actually, I'm in Canada but I like to come over to the USA whenever I can. I found this one on Craigslist. One of the best deals I've had.
I picked up the Celi tonight but it was too dark to take pics.
I'll get some up as soon as I can. Promise!

 

Maybe we could do a PacNW & BC SwapMeet in the summer if there is enough interest.....?

Even crazier is that my sister is asking me if I want her red 87GTS coupe (she's original owner - 21 years) with only 140,000 kms / 88,000 miles on it. AND, I also have dibs on a black 89GTS liftback (again, 1 original lady owner). I've been in touch with that lady over 7 years, waiting for her to sell.

I know I can't support 5 cars, no way. In this regard, you guys are the only ones who understand me, even my g/f thinks I'm nuts. I must have Celica-itis :wink:

No plans other than changing and flushing all fluids and trying to rebuild the AC system - the previous owner dismantled parts of it

I've got 3 of them now, so technically, I can have my own meet, haha. I'll get a group pic soon.
