so i filled up with some gas and started out fine stopped at a light started going and stopped at another light. as i took off a huge cloud of smoke came out the back! it was so back i had to pull over immediatly because im pretty sure no one behind me could see! everything seemed ok so i pulled back onto the road and it was fine....kept goin and pulled into a parking lot to take a closer look, my muffler has some rust hole but those were already there im pretty sure. nothing real out of the ordinary, so i get back on the road. stop at another light and it happened again just not as bad. and it hasnt happened again since. someone told me the choke might have gotten stuck? im not sure...should i be concerned?

well not long ago for me i was tryna hook up a water temp sensor lol , and put it on a ecu wire , i think 1 of the sensors , yes a dumb idea anyway , it started fine but as soon as i put my foot down too take off , of course not flat cuz i was in my driveway! but it started misfiring and blowing black smoke lol , of course i thought the wire would be ok !!

but i was wrong i pulled off the wire and made it back to its origional state , took off the neg battery cable aka to reset the ecu , started her up about 30 min later and she was good to go ! ,

could you have a short circuit , or a loose wire down by the ecu or something nots reading proper ?

ill shut up now let and you wait for someone that knows what there talking about

if the car was cold then it may have a little extra fuel in the system. no worries. what color was the smoke?

ok so today i put oil in and then took off for a spin and smoke started pouring out the tailpipe. had to pull over again and drive off to the side so people could see. popped the hood and smoke was also come off of that plate thing between the engine and radiator, the one that gets really fuckin hot...not sure what it is but smoke was coming out from under that too

please dont tell me its a head gasket...i cant afford it

Color and odor of the smoke are important. Could be other things like o-rings. Either way the issues aren't going away, possibly need some repair somewhere.

could it be the pcv valve?

ok so we took a closer look at the car today and oil is getting oushed out every where so we ralized theres pressure build up in the crankcase

so who knows where that thing is su[[osed to breath becyase its not breathin and oil is getting pushed into my intake and just about everything else

seems like a case of blow by?

blow by wouldnt cause oil to get pushed into my intake

well enough of it could cause it to flow through the PCV tube. Oil and crap get out of there naturally, i assume excessive blow by would only make it happen faster

isnt blow by when oil seeps through the rings? were is the pcv valve located because we need to figure out why theres so much pressure buildup in the crank case

the PCV vents the blow by (blow by is when compressed air, or the force driving the piston down escapes past the rings into the crank case).

The PCV is located on the valve cover closest to the front of the car and runs to the throttle body.

compressino and leak down tests may tell you if you have excessive blow by
