How hard would it be to make a 77 Celica into an alltrac?

you could always try using a 3sgte motor in a rwd conversion setup

gearbox dificulties would get 2 you tho, but u wuld have one hell of a weapon man

or u could forget the whole japanese celica and 4th gen etc etc
and go for a chev 308 V8 motor with 4 spd auto or 5 manual

again, that would be a weapon

ontop of all that you could always just use a supra engine ??

Best bet would be to bolt your GTE to the tranny thats already in there.

I still don't get why people see chev V8's as THE ultimate motor, but anyway...

There is a guy on Toymods who has converted (or is in the process of converting, can't remember) an RA28 to 4WD using some GTR skyline bits and a 1UZFE (quad cam 4L Toyota V8 ) thats twin turboed. It involved lots of cutting and welding and making new strut towers to take different struts and hubs....

Probably a much better idea to mate the 3SGTE to a RWD trans, plenty of info out there on how to do this.
