i was searching around the forum looking for info on the OBX on a 3S-FE. i saw some threads on how/if it works on a 3s-ge but anyone heard or have it on a 3s-fe? im looking for some engine upgrades. all i have done is ram air... i see that pacesetters have some setup fitting issues.. helps appreciated as usual. thanks

it will only work on the gt/st. you can do the tranny mod to the gt-s so that it would work on there. no clearance issues or anything like that for the header that i am aware of. i was looking to get this one for my gt-s but i messaged the seller and he told me it would only work on gt/st models. so i gave up. i want to do the tranny mod but have no money nor the capability to do so. if you purchase these, then you are indeed a lucky bastard. and i envy you! hahaha. also i have been told that you can only gain about a 10 % increase in hp for doing the headers, pipes and intake. but it will be worth it. plus you can say you have obx headers. NICE!!!

no i havent. but if you want a sound like that then you can get a muffler that produces it. if i could i would have gotten these. i am a moderate fan of OBX :w00t: i am actually looking at this for my car. i guess i will just have to save for that tranny swap and get some obx's when ever i can. woo!

yeah i saw that exhaust. not really a fan of the dual tip. but yeah i already got an exhaust system on my car. not the best but its much better than stock and quite deep sounding too. so combined with the headers i should get something deeper?

i think if you go with the one that you have now it should produce about the same sound. i may be wrong. i am definately not an exhaust guy. just passing off knowledge i have accumulated over the years. so you are going to get them then? lucky!

you mean it should produce the same sound i have now? or the same sound i am looking for?

new headers shouldnt produce a different sound if the rest of your exhaust system is the same as before

slight difference. like when you change the oil and add air to the tires difference.

i would say so. i mean a whole setup will get you about 13 hp or so. its not terrific numbers but then again the 3sfe isnt a speedy engine either. if you are looking for a slight gain and something to brag about, then i would say it is worth it. if you know you are going to do a swap later on and just want to roam around, then you might not want to get it. it is still awesome though. and a great deal.

I pondered fe upgrades, but chose not to go that route. Interstesting to hear OBX makes that header, I wasn't aware of it at all.

hahaha yeah. i mean there are all kinds of things you can do. it just boils down to whether or not it is worth it to you. or if you have monster plans in the future and dont want to do anything yet and save save save. i would love to do a halftrac swap in my gt-s but i will never be able to do it by myself and my funds wont allow it. so i am opting for nice sound and a decent ride. i am not going to be going around looking to beat stangs and birds!. but i do want to handle like this thing were on rails. and to have a decent look to it. when i can afford to spend 8k on a car and just dick around in it, then i will look for the swap options. but for now, i just want to look clean, ride mean, keep on with my dream! but oh yeah, those headers are sweet. if i had a vert or coupe gt i would get those for it in a heartbeat. totally smooth daily driver is what it would be.

couldnt agree more on the worth value. this is my car for now, and i want it to be presentable, at the sametime without spending too much. but like you said, the headers are a decent upgrade, not that expensive.

yeah i know what you mean. there was limits to the aftermarket stuff for these cars so every little thing becomes major inna way. i guess ill do the headers and drop it with eibachs :D

classy and clean. :wtg: i really gotta put off buying fun stuff for the celica. need a new clutch, possibly a new timing belt and waterpump. so there is about a grand going in. that cat back sure would have been nice though. along with the eibachs and whiteline braces. oh bother!
