I am not sure which region you are in.

    japan:
G-Limited with a naturally aspirated engine (N/A) 2.0L 3S-GE engine producing 165PS (163hp/121 kW), an automatic transmission was standard, a manual transmission was optional. The G-Limited has basically all the bells and whistles an MR2 can have. Climate control, Power folding Mirrors, Steerable Fog Lamps, etc.
    GT with a turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE engine producing (261 hp/), a M/T was the only choice.
GT-S came with the same engine and transmission as the GT.

    Europe:
    pe with the N/A 2.0L 3S-FE engine producing 138 hp (103 kW).
GT Coupe with the N/A 2.0L 3S-GE engine producing 158 hp (118 kW).
    GT T-Bar with the N/A 2.0L 3S-GE engine producing 158 hp (118 kW).

North Amarica: (the MR2 MKII did not come to the US until 1991)
    MR2 N/A with a N/A 2.2L 5S-FE engine producing 130 hp (up to 135 hp (101 kW) in 1993) and an A/T or M/T optional.
    MR2 Turbo with a turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE engine producing 200 hp (149 kW), the only choice for a transmission being a 5-speed M/T.

    Thanx guys.

    Im in the UK.

I need the bracket that holds the front of the inlet manifold to the head. and some of the vacume hoses. I also want to see if the fuel rail in the 2nd gen is the same as the first gen??

Check my thread and you'll see I have a gen2 GE motor, it came from an MR2
    [IMG]
Notice the different water piping and thermostat etc
    or
Are you talking about the type G? As far as I know it was only fitted in special edition RAV 4's
    [IMG]
I think all were automatic as well, which is why I passed them over
    "G Limited" means - LTD ed RAV4 with 3S-GE type G motor

As far as I'm aware BOTH these motors are import only in N.America but sold everywhere else

    Fuel Rail
They are interchangable between GE G1 and 2. However the G1 has a banjo bolt for an extra cold start injector
The G2 does not have the cold start so if using a G1 injector rail, you need to block the cold start injector feed.
Also the injectors in the G2 are bigger (pink) as apposed to G1 (brown)

Yep that top one is the one Stig. I posted pics of the inlet manifold I picked up but now need the brackets that bolt on to the front of the manifold. Does the T-Vis fuel rail fit on that manifold???

Yes, the head not the manifold. The injectors are the same but bigger & you need
to put a bolt in the extra hole. The regulator and return line is identical too
    (1st time I've seen MrT re-use a part?)

You should have heaps there, if not I could scavenge for you. Let me know which
pipes etc. Alwayz may have some as well

    I have a spare G2 rail & injectors, hasn't been used in 2yrs though

Thanx Stig. My injectorsa are the brown ones. iirc you said they are the correct ones for the gen2. Am going to a scrappy that has an mr2 on monday so hopefully will get the bits I need. Am a bit worried about mating a gen2 head to a gen 1 harness though???

That should be the least of your worries if you use the gen1 T/B, the gen2 has vacum plenum opening
    so no TVIS hassles either

Heres a pic of the rail etc - You need the pink injectors, I think 290cc vs 220cc
The cams in there are mad!

Your pistons should look like this, if not G1 pistons will work fine (less detonation hassles)

G2 block has an extra water connection & knock sensor (not needed) on the back.
If you don't have them it's no biggie, TVIS has no knock sense but try to use the extra water feed
    [IMG]

Heres some loose manifold bits, shows some pipes etc

Thanx for the pix Stig, plan on spraying the pipes first then will get on with installation.

Will the gen1 T/B bolt straight on to the manifold??

I think so, if not just drill & tap one or two holes
(I chucked my G2 manifold for carbs, so can't compare right now)
I'm sure Alwayz can help with wiring & sorting the motor, he's a great guy & I think just as inquisitive as I am
