I want to upgrade my heat exchanger on my st165 before i get her running again. I was looking on ebay for some and i came across one that was fairly cheap and looks like it has a bigger core. Would i be at an advange or disadvangate if i where to mount this inbetween the fogs where there is more air flow?

What does the heat exchanger do act as a FMIC for the TMIC lol that sounds funny

We have one already equipped right.

Is it easy to fit the ATA intercool from the ST185 onto the ST165

Because that sounds like a good weight reduction.

yes you have one stock...the one from the st185 could be adapted..but you`ll need a custom hood made with a scoop of some kind...or you could go fmic, free up some room in your bay and still retain the stock look

speed, water to air is MUCH better for your celica. Its better cooling and less lag, just alot more parts and gizmos that have to go into it.

But our intercoolers get heat soaked so quickly

thats because their mounted in a s*** place. You can
    A) put a fan on it
    B) relocated heat exchanger
    C) wire the water pump to run constantly
    D) All of the above

I plane on doing all of the above with a larger heat exchanger.

here is a big discussion that is always being debated. what it boils down to is:
what do you use the car for?
in most racing applications WTA is better
in most street applications ATA is better.

the first thing you'll need to do is decide what you want to do with your car.
