gte in an 86

    ok correct me if im wrong but the gen 1 gte will swap into the 86 gt w/o mod.??? and i would have to find another 3s tranny to bolt onto it???

    youll need ecu, harness, exhaust, plus some other minor odds and ends. Its a direct bolt in, but not plug and play. your 3sfe tranny will work fine with it thou.

    well ya the ecu etc. is a given ... its a 2-se :cry:

    it will BOLT in but there will be quite a bit of other work that will need to be done.

    One of the problems I got into with this swap was the Engine mounts- But Mafix used some from Speedsource, but he hasnt gone into detail on how and where to mount them to me yet Hint Hint loloL....

    Im still working on the swap now- So work is in progress!!!!

    Are you planning on a USDM Swap or JDM? The JDM Swap will require extending the harness.

    Motor mounts should be the same as regular 3SGE mounts.

    Also, the speedsource poly inserts come with directions. I did them in mine.

    i dont have a 3sge ..its a 2-se how much is it going to matter? which part of the harness would i need to extend?
