Im getting a growl from behind one (or both) of the cam gears that doesnt sound very healthy. I used a hose to pinpoint the sound so 90% sure its from behind them.

I did the timing belt kit a while ago, has been all good for 30,000k (that included idler bearing down further, so its not that)

I was thinking it was bearings, but they are white metal and not rollers in there so i dont get how they could growl.

    Any ideas?

If so, can i squeeze the bearings out without having to remove the whole goddamn thing due to the timing belt? Its a prick to get the timing belt cover off.

    Cheers
