    Hey y'all,

My car's hatch just broke, and since my car's been having an overheating and oil leak issue for a while, my parents are making me get rid of it soon. (basically once I get a new car.) :sad5

    So yeah,

Here's the thread with pics of my car:
    viewtopic.php?f=101&t=7266&start=280

Go to page 15 for the broken hinge.

    Chassis has 243K.
Engine mileage is unknown, but definitely less than chassis.
Interior is clean, and only driver seat has minor rips.
Car has new rotors, brake pads, windshield nozzles, and will come with unknown brand lowering springs, new deep dish steering wheel with horn, and (maybe) modded front lip. (have to sand and paint it first)
    Car recently smogged.

    Pros:
    -It runs
    -AC works
    -paint still shines... kinda...
    -Recently smogged
    -new brake pads and rotors
    -new windshield nozzles
-new deep dish steering wheel with horn
-lowering springs (uninstalled at the moment, but I might install them eventually)
    -Clean title
    -Dad is original owner.

    Cons:
-overheats after about an hour of driving (less if abused)
    -broken hatch trunk hinge
    -rust
    -243K miles on chassis.
    -no cruise control
-windshield needs resealing since rain water leaks in.

Make an offer guys. (or if I can get close to 1000 from parting out, I'll do that.)

I'll get another 4th gen Celica eventually, but it'll probably be after I move out of my parents house...
    -_-

    Thanks... :banghead

Lowering springs are supposedly from a 240sx.

The person that sold it to me also gave me the threads and components that you would find in coilover sleeves, so I would assume that these springs originally started out as coilover sleeves.

If you still want them, I'll probably sell for $35 + shipping. (I literally just got these on Sunday so I'm a little hesitant on selling them so soon.)

Where is the rust and how bad is it?

What's the chance anyone has a carfax account? I'm assuming it's a manual transmission by the pictures I can see...right?

I'm sorta in the market for a clean chassis.

I would definitely want the front lip (all 3 pieces!)! I have none on my car!

if there was a way to send the seats here i'd take both, and i'd be interested in the shifter linkages + clutch pedal + clutch slave cylinder. basically all the components of a manual trans, and the A/C components

Sorry about the loss man :ugh

I'd love to take the tranny and all the related parts as well as the ECU. Except yours is a GE and I have an FE.

How much do you want for the P/S pump and clutch master cylinder?

Anything is cheaper than buying a new one here lol

    Aaron.

Stupid iPhone refused to let me upload pics...

rust bubbles on sunroof, normal rust on passenger front fender, the pillar on the passenger side that holds the front windshield, dent on fender, and dent on passenger quarter panel.
    Clean title. Manual transmission.

Been busy, but here's an update...

I don't have to sell the car anymore!!! :D (for now)
Convinced my parents to let me keep the car for a while longer. (till it blows up pretty much... which hopefully = never. :fingersx )
Parents are still gonna let me get a new car for a more reliable daily, so double plus for me! :mrgreen
Gonna get that hatch fixed up along with the overheating issue weekend after this one.

Alright, you automotive vultures can shoo now. :p lol jk.

Nice White Lightning!!! :) I've always wondered if my car was like the U.S. version of the White Lightning or something since I've yet to encounter any other stock ST162's with white wheels. :p
I'll go ahead and photoshop the pic for you! :) (although exhausts are a little hard for me. I'm best with wheels and lowering. :p)

Although personally, I'd go with flat black. ;)

For those of you guys that need GTS parts, I know a local junkyard that has like 7 GTS's lying around. Maybe we could have a soCal meet or maybe I'll pick stuff up for you guys or something. :p

Thanks for the support guys! :) I hope to stick around for a lot longer. :p

Thai, if you want you can buy my '87 GTS for $350 and do a 3sge swap into yours. I know mine has no mechanical issues except for the clutch right now due to the accident.

Then you can replace some body parts too :p

Thanks for the offer, but I'm good.
If I ever do get an engine swap, it would be something more powerful than the gen1 GE. There's a bunch of Celica's at a local junkyard I can get the body parts off of...

    GLWS though. :)

gen 3 swap? quick reliable and easy to mod. N/A also so no turbo issues and not a gas guzzler

    have you a gen 3 3SGE?

I've actually been considering that swap lately since I saw one that came with a tranny for $1K. One thing I've been wondering though is how hard is the wiring compared to a GTE swap? Cause if it's just as hard, then I'd be better off with a GTE or BEAMS right?
