Fuel Pump replacement

    well im certain that you need to drop the tank butttttttt before i go to the effort of doing so just wanna confirm. That the only way to swap the pump is by dropping the tank

    i second guess myself alot haha. so yer someone confirm.

    Yes, drop the tank :( Had to be done with mine as well.

    5th gen's have it under the backseat. You could make that for yourself as well for future access?

    i want to make a space so i can access it without dropping the tank, ill get a cover off another car to do it

    yep when i do this im making a compartment for future replacements.

    -seeing as my car made 200K + on the original one i cant see any need for an access.

    -you could measure and do the access so you dont have to drop the tank, but im thinking most of us will only have to do this once.

    -upgrade or stocker?

    will you take photos or removing the tank rob. i need to do this in about 2 weeks

    I'll try to. ive done it before its a freakin easy job. you unplug it. disconnect the filler lines. support it with a jack. undo the 2 tank straps and bobs ya mothers brother you removed the tank :)

    Depending on your exhaust you may have to drop the rear section and the heat shield in front of the tank or it can get fouled when you push the tank back in

    it's a pita to get it back in. iirc there's a stupid bracket or that exhaust shield that stig is talking about on the right side of the car, and on both sides make sure you don't squeeze the e-brake line. on my old celica I had to drop the tank after getting it running because I pinched the e-brake on the left side. but yeah...the actual process of the tank and stuff is easy
