So I know i've got a fair amount of work to do on the front end of my car. when driving straight my wheel is turned to the right so I know my alignment is off. The car also wanders all over the road.

I'm also fairly certain I need to replace wheel bearings...the car is incredibly loud while rolling down the road. I haven't checked yet.

So I plan on eventually replacing all the bushing on the front end and eventually in the back as well, my question is what should be changed before getting an alignment. I dont want to get an alignment and have it messed up by taking stuff apart to change bushings and tie rods.

I know almost nothing about suspension or alignments etc. so please give me as much info as possible...what parts need changed, how to do it, or how long it takes Thanks!

I would start with control arm bushings, steering rack bushings, and sway bar bushings. Then get each wheel bearing inspected by a COMPETENT mechanic. One who can tell if they are bad without replacing them. Also check your drive shaft carrier bearings as mine are shot and they are very noisy. Once you get there I would have an alignment done and I bet you'll be amazed. Also if you can find one a whiteline adjustable rear sway ARB makes a night and day difference in how the car drives.

How would I know if the steering rack bushings need replaced? The steering is tight...there is no slop in the wheel...it's just crooked. An alignment should fix that right?

Glad to hear you got your swap running! as far as I know we are the only 2 on the forum with 205 swaps into an alltrac!

Yeah alignment should fix it. I just know it gets better with poly rack bushings. And there are a couple other dudes with the same swap on alltrac.net. I think only about 5 st165s in the US with it tho:)
