Hey guys, I was just looking at my Haynes manual and I see that the 1986-1987 GE is supposed to have an EGR pipe going to the exhaust manifold and the 1988-1989 GE is supposed to have an EGR pipe going to the cylinder head.
My car is a 1987, but has the EGR pipe going to the cylinder head.

Anyone else have EGR going to the head on a pre-1988 GE?

Check your manufacturing date. Its possible that you have a late 87 when they started to build the EGR built into the cylinder head end of 87 building the 88 models.
