get some GTS seats that will make things alot nicer imo.

Find a GTS interior at the crap yard And Take it all. That will make it look nice. Or you can take vinyl and fabric dye and die it all black. But i don't know how well that would work.

Wow I must say I have seen an ST interior in a long time. Wow its got window handles. Taking the GTS interior would give you power features. I don't know if the car is prewired though.

good points... except seeing a gts in australia is like finding a needle in a hay stack (how original! )

my cars actually a sx :) an allllll aussie one... we have the gt here... but i havent ever seen a gts other than in pics on this site.

is it really possible to transfer things like power options over from my non-power ones... all i hav in power mirrors and im sure if i try and move them again they will die on me :)

ill have to look into some of the junk yards around here, but theres not really many where i live... i would love a gts interior...

power mirrors? ummm i wouldnt have a clue hey.... yeah i have the 3sge engine but the non-power option everything (except mirrors :p )

will fabric dye really work? id have to dye it like 5 times i think, just to get all the brown out.. might give it a whirl sometime i think... on a tester seat cover first hahaha

    any other ideas???

    Thanks, al

Rip the seats out and get some black racing seats...

Rip the carpet out and i could get you another color at the yards round here...Then just die your dash and replace your steering wheel...

    Easy nuff...

or you can paint everything that's plastic. i think krylon makes a special paint for this application.

how hard is the whole dash to take out?? i cant see it taking very long but then again, i havent done it b4 so im prob wrong!

i think painting all the plastic is a great idea... has anyone got any ideas on which colours would suit a silver paint job?

Krylon does andi would suggest using the krylon fusions for plastic. I've had awsome results.

    Yea... my camera sucks ass.

Little hint is to give extra time to allow the soft plastic items to dry. Also, do alot of light coats, dont bake it on.

awesome! only an hour... it'll prob take me 2 haha

i just need to hunt around some local stores for some of that spray... i wouldnt have a clue which colour to make it tho...??

it can be my sunday job :)

thanks for the tips and pointers. i thought it'd be best to do lots of lighter coats, that way it wont drip and build up in unwanted places...

ill take some pics and post em up after :)

LMAO, my stock shift nob broke.... dont ask how..... So i bought that one from walmart for 5 bucks :).

It's take an hour to take the interior apart if you know what you are doing. Take your time, dont rush. Let the paint dry completly before you put it back in, that means leave it out for a day or so.

You can get the krylon fusion paint at walmart or some other superstore.

the only bad part about that is i live in australia.... and i havent ever even heard of this 'walmart' you talk of, but it sounds like a good store  hahaha maybe aust doesnt even have it... it might be called something else or maybe ill have to find a different brand.?

its come over cloudy and raining so i guess i wont be working on my car this weekend... what a bumer!

ill be sure to leave it dry for a day or so, thanks!

I got the brown too, changed it to the luxues brown seats of the ST165..still brown, but it matches the outside brown metallic and the age of the car ;)
