I had a quick look on internet for the Starter IMSA celica but it seems that it's an old, rare and hard-to-find model kit. I'll keep going on my searches to find out one for you. What's its reference#?
I want the red and white Celica with the working lights you guys mentioned too. And that IMSA GTO Celica, I WANT. Be great if I want a physical representation, if I'm designing the Celica's body. I original bought a HPI grey Toyota ST165, for designing reference. I couldn't help but buy 3 more 4th Gens Carlos Sainz Rally edition. I'll post some pictures later.
Oxi found this competed one sold on ebay for $125 They don't come cheap and like the Scalextrics are sought after collectors cars
No kidding. The 1990 is another expensive model as well. I hear HPI is strict on perfection as well. Those details are just amazing. 1/43 but for some reason my HPI ST165 is a bit smaller than my others. I was gonna get this one but i opted for 2 more less expensive Carlos Sainz Edition. This one I'd probably get soon. http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-HPI-TOYOTA-Cel ... 500wt_1156
Nice set up James  I'd like to see a close up of the dark coloured Celica, out of the box if I may
Thanks sherv & nate  As Steve requested :cheers HPIracing GT-four Group A Stunning details, take a look at all the decals and craftmanship. Has an 88' front and an 86 rear tail lights? Is that what we've discussed on one of these threads here before?
I saw one on ebay, its so beautiful in grey with the OZ wheels :drool5 Maybe it's an EDM version, here en europe we only get pre-facelift tail lights :mrgreen
Thanks James  It's a really nice model that. I don't like the red mudflaps though. Detailing is great, right down to the door handles. How long have you had that one ? Do you get it out to play with ? ........I meant the toy Celica :naughty :smilielol5
Lucky me. At last, I put my hand on these very rare and desirable japanese import DISM 4gen models. Accurate proportions, wheels, decals... Functional lights and steering. 1987 GT-R 2000 1988 GT-Four
I got them from Japan. Some weeks ago, I bought an old 4gen brochure to a japanese ebayer. I saw that he also sells some model cars (others than DISM). I asked him for the DISM 1987 2000 GT-R, and he told me that he could find and send it to me it for $85 shipped. I received... the 1988 GT-Four. I told him his mistake and he sent to me the 1987 2000 GT-R for... free. Some details
