    Thanks.

I'm having a difficult time trying to remove the Rear View Mirror Assembly. I'm trying to replace the front windshield weatherstripping, so I need to do this. I have pictures below.

Q1. How do you remove the Rear View Mirror and Lamp Assembly? Screws? Clips?

Q2. I see a screw inside towards the middle, but it's difficult (almost impossible) to get a good angle and unscrew it (see Pic02 and Pic03). Doe I need to get that screw?

Q4. I printed some scanned instructions found on this website. Thanks to whoever did this. However, on some pictures I have difficulty seeing the detail. Have these instructions been re-scanned and uploaded? )

Q5. This is a question regarding something else, but hopefully more simple. I painted the Windshield Outer Moldings and the Rear Convertible Trim Moldings which curve around where the convertible top folds down. Novice question, but do these parts need a clear coat? I ask, because I was hoping these parts to be flat black, or the least amount of gloss possible.

    Thanks again.

    Solved.

There were seven clips around the Rear View Mirror and Lamp Assembly plastic molding panel. Three in front, four in back.

    Thanks.

When I had the conv roof replaced I simply painted them flat black via a can of quality paint. It lasted a year or so until the paint broke down and you could begin seeing flaws. Note; the car was not covered so it received plenty of sun and I should have brought it to a painter to spray it but I simply didn't. :roll
