I'm feeling bummed, I'm always looking but within range alltrac sales arent common, as much as I admire the cars I'm going to give it a break for now and just pick a rally/autocross car and stick with it until an ST185 comes avalible

Right now I have an offer on a 1999 Black 2.5 RS Impreza, but I'm willing to stay loyal to Toyota :D N/A Isn't an option except for the Subi and classic celi

I say go with the MR2 Turbo, simply because it seems like the most intresting and unique car on the list.

Check out the engine, and underbody, and all suspension, etc.... Then it MIGHT be worth 2.5k with 200k MILES on it.....

Well that's a LOT of mileage don't you think??

Are you expecting to put lots of time and money into this car or do you need a reliable dd??

You could probably find a nice 80's supra for that price, and possibly even a turbo'd one....

    I have a daily

that ugly green truck I brought to MD so i don't mind buying a clip like mafix suggested and swapping... I also have 2 friends locally who have MR2's who would "love" to help me with the swap... (already called them before I talked to willie)

I'd like to point this out

Virginia is suck tacular for decent deals on cars... every one selling a car near or below book value is ignorant to cars (and doesn't know of other problems with it) or it gets sold to "a friend" even when the car was only listed for 20 mins...

  11. 1st gen celi ftw. Cheap as hell and potetial for 2j swap later on. There are a few SBC swapped in town that are mean too but with crummy gas mileage.

I cant stand them... I've never found a hardtop, and working on the engine is a PITA

that and I dont have 10k

I have 5k... (which includes mods :p) Right now I'm looking at a red MR2 in ok condition, lower miles, N/A again, Exterior is good, has a new exhaust Dual Coffee Cans :D (I hate them...) but I havent seen much elce... looking at a blue one but the guy is asking a bit much.

2.5RS. super stable, NA (less crap in the engine bay), good gas mileage, very reliable, best AWD setup around.

and if you get dumb, you can downgrade to the WRX/STi setup very easily. yeah, i hate turbos. :) but, i am ONLY a canyon driver.

Newly painted all wheel drive turbocharged 1990 Celica.
This car was made in limited numbers from 1988-1993, with this car being in the later run with the ST-185 designation. Original owner looking to sell car that runs well and is in good to fair condition. Passed MD state inspection last year. Has only been driven a few thousand miles each year over the past decade. Full maintenance done at 90K miles, odometer presently at 98K.
    Serious offers only.

Mike and willie were going to look at the turbo AT for me but he sold it last week :(

I'm really not into FWD cars... AWD or RWD is all I want

I'm thinking MR2 because there are more around, gives me a good AX car that I can build up and eventually swap with an alltrac once I get one. In november I lose my hyundai sonata and I have to drive the truck (since my sister starts driving and she cant drive a stick)

The truck is uncomfortable and gets really shoddy gas mileage for a 4 cyl on top of that it has the towing capacity of a fat kid in a wagon.... making it useless

Only cars I'm really interested in ATM 2nd Gen MR2, 2nd Gen Alltrac, and a MkIV Supra (I can dream cant I!?)
