when i turn the key i get nothing. but when i connect the attach a jumper wire between the acceries wire and power on the back of the key thingie i get acceries fot a while that would fix the problem for a month or two and now that no longer works any hints?
Well I would test the ignition switch and rule it out first. Place the ignition switch in the ACC position and make sure you have continuity between terminals 3&4. Place the ignition switch in the ON position and make sure you have continuity between terminals 3&4.
thanks for your help st165-2765 it was the ignition switch, i went out and bought one straight from toyota couldn't be bothed spending 2-3 days ringing wreckers when i could have the part to day and i've been missing driving it
