Hi all I am a noob here, awesome to see im not the only 162 lover. I have a 87 st162 corona coupe 3sge I have an issue with what seems like lack of fuel but car idles ok I replaced engine for lower k's one a few years back but have not done many k's done timing belt water pump etc, was using it for a while then then went for 30 min drive to visit a mate turned off. went to head home and started cutting out under acceleration would pick up again then die off got home eventually, have replaced plugs leads, replaced fuel filter when converted engine, cleaned maf sensor distributor cap looks ok and rotor good have not checked fuel pressure but fuel was coming out of filter. and will idle also replaced exhaust oxygen sensor as was damaged during transplant. is there a common problem fitting my discription... please if you are The Man on these.. for sanitys sake help me lol I don't want to take it to a garage. I have bought a fuel pump from repco removed seat to replace to eliminate that to fid i would have to remove tank to replace, not sure if thats the prob?? but am sure that taking tank out will be a headache lol. thanks Richard Hamilton NZ.
