HAHAHAH thanks. the video is so awesome. really appreciate you guys doing this. so before i venture out to do this, i have one unclear question. you say the 30 pin goes back to the starter. it goes to the black wire that was cut from the clip right? or did i not understand that correctly? not the wire that goes to pin 86 but the wire that was cut on the starter. thanks a million. sorry for my thick headedness

    30 plugs into starter
    86 plugs into wiring harness

    you dont cut any wires...

ok so i think i get it now. you dont cut the wire, you add a spade to the wire harness plug and run that to 86. then you run 30 to the starter plug right? and use a second spade connector?

ok so i had major problems with this myself. i didn't get it because i couldnt visualize what was going on. but this could not be easier. i will take pics and show you how I did it on my 89 gt-s. you don't need to clip any wires to do this. i actually took wires from a gt that had a good looking clip and snipped them off with enough wire to run for days. give me a few hours to take clear pics on my lunch brake. :D

^Nice clean job with the connectors, I did the same. Makes it easily removable.

thanks. once i learn how to solder, i am going to redo the wires. not perfect but it works like a charm.

ha its not that hard, get some decent silver core solder, some acid flux paste, and a gun. or do what i do and fire up the propane tank....lol stick the wire in the paste, put it in heat, wait for the "sizzle" then apply solder to it..

ugh butt connectors are ftl. You don't know how many times I've pulled apart a taxicab to troubleshot someone elses wiring harness only to find an assload of butt connectors. Take them all out and solder them = problem solved

dang, that looks completely different from my set up. i'll post pics up around 2 or 3 because i'm at school right now. but i dont't really see how it connects to the starter. for the 3sfe the starter is like standing if your face. so, i guess its easier for me. but, still i don't see how its done. i did do it though. i'm not sure if its correct though.

lol yeah the starter placement is different on the 3sge than the 3sfe. anyways if you did the mod and your car starts, then it sounds like you did it right. I dont think it will turn over if you leave it disconnected.

How are you supposed to connect the wire going from 87 with the 30 amp fuse to the battery?

And on my starter there's only one wire i can see going in to that clip.
Is that the starter wire or the ignition side?
