well it's stock internals. so they must have backed the timing off a lot. and the mines ecu? got me on that one. but that's no stock ecu that's for sure.

Can someone explain the power quotes in the article? It says "80 kW when standard..." but that's only 107 HP. The first set of mods got it to 123 kW which is 165 HP - still 25 HP less than the Gen 4 Alltrac. For a second I thought perhaps since they mentioned "...at each wheel..." that it meant standard power was 80kW x 4, but I'm pretty sure Toyota didn't make any version w/ 428 HP stock...

'fast fours' - an aussie mag i can give you the exact edition if you want?

and i believe it was dyno'd before they started any mods and it had 80awkw... prob wasnt in very good condition when it first rolled in... 20 odd yrs old, prob thrashed, sounds about right to me... did anyone dyno a stock 1st gen 3sgte before they modded it?

even with a 20% drivetrain loss stock numbers should be over 100kw.

to reverse what they said in the article when the car was said and done it only made (with 20% drivetrain loss) 250hp at the crank. there is something seriously wrong. i wonder if the dyno was not corrected?
