hello guys, im thinking of doing a swap to saved my cursed project..i was at the wreckers this morning and found a 93 camery witha 3s-fe, wondering if it will bolt to my gte with the proper starter location. any input is appreciated thenks *rye edited title accordingly!
nope theres a s53 and s54 box. i think the s54 goes on the 5sfe, and the s53 goes on the 3sge, but im not too sure about the 3sfe...?
sorry rye i was in a super rush when i posted this yesterday lol :lol: well i have heard that a lot of the trannies (c-52, s-53, s-54 ect...) will bolt up to the gte block no problem, its just that on some trannies the starter has to be re-located to the back to not be in the way of the turbo.(so i have heard) i was talking to chris a while back and he said a 89 gt (c-52 im guessing) trans will fit right in without having to move the starter. and by using the gte flywheel and pres. plate with the gt clutch disc. im just wondering if that 3s-fe camery trans will be a direct easy bolt-on with no relocation work. mafix: i need the 5-speed trans and related components
do you mean that i would need a differnt disc? or just the all trac pres. plate and flywheel with that fe trans stock disc?
