ahhh.. more issues! First: turn signal light will do a strange scary noise when putting left signal, right is works ok Second: Brake light won't turn OFF!! is kinda annoying! driving at night with that light on damm haha! Also, brake light black dash cover is kinda messed up, that happened when sticker bombing the tach, that haves nothing to do with the brake light, it was like that before. oh that's pretty simple, your turn signal is just your flasher relay, it's in the driver's side kick panel, farther above the fuse box, i think it's the green relay. i think the electronics in there is just stuck. the brake light, fill up your brake fluid reservoir. the light turns on with two things, one is handbrake, the other is if you don't have enough brake fluid
EXACTLY what I was going to say. You may have a brake seal leaking. My drivers side rear brake was leaking pretty bad. It's an easy fix. I also replaced the pads in that drum even though they were new because they were SOAKED in brake fluid.
lol ! had the same issue with the avensis...couldn\t get my big hands around the thing, ended up having the dealer pull it with some tool.

try ebay or the yards. Don't know the partnr, if you give me the partnr I can look if it was placed on other models as well .
My left turn signal does the same...so did my 1987 Tercel wagon eons ago. My guess is that it's not the relay, but probably the switch in the stalk. Thats what fixed the Tercel way back when. I've just been too lazy to grab one fron the boneyard for the Burp car. Vicdat
