Okay guys I just wanted to see if anyone else have a similar set up since I am being push to this. Recently oem spec rebuild my 1st gen 3sgte. Problem is I have a crappy harness and finding one is like a needle in a haystack. So I was wondering if I get a st205 harness and send it in to Dr tweak or someone of similar profession. What must I change on my set up to adapt this converted harness over? Of course I can get rid of the crappy afm which is why I rather do a st205 harness than a st185. What new sensors will I need? I figure a map sensor for sure but not sure. If anyone got any other idea's please let me know :D. I did think of going stand alone but that still doesn't fix my harness issue lol Thank you.

Your going to need the gen3 map sensor, manifold and intake air temp sensors, gen3 ignitor.

youll also need some top feed low imp 540cc injs.

you can't get rid of the MAF without using a piggyback such as map-ECU2 or 3. Or by going standalone....the ECU won't know what to do without the MAF.

Thank you guys for the response. Why would I need the manifold? If I get the manifold I have to get the head as well?

I wanted to run a st205 ecu and harness so I can use map vs afm. :D I didn't want to go piggyback yet.

Not the manifold, the manifold air temp sensor. Tho the st165 does have one, I dont know how compatible with the 205 ecu it would be.

Plenty do the gen3 ecu on gen2 motors, but its a bit easier as the gen3 injs fit the gen2 fuel rail.

Yea everything I read is differently. We all build our cars using Toyota parts but the set up is different from people to people.

I have a combined st165/205 loom. But it was running a gen3. So various other plugs like for water temp, knock sensor and oil pressure are different than gen1.
