Oil pessure gauge not working

    Hi guys,

I suspect my oil pressure gauge to not work, it always show zero and it never moves, not even a bit.
The engine seems to run fine, I came back from holidays with my celica, on the way back I noticed this problem, so I didn't rev the car over 3K.

I suspect some kind of connector that is not plugged properly.

Recently we swapped the gearbox for a S54. we probably forgot to plug something. (mostly my friend who is mechanic did the job)

I think the signal is electric, right ?
Can someone tell me where are the plugs ? (maybe with pictures ? :p)

I tried to search the forums before posting, but didn't find anything.

If ever, is there some kind of procedure to check the oil pressure another way than by the gauge ?

    Thanks.

yeah there's a wire that goes to the oil pressure unit in the engine bay.

The oil pressure sensor is above the cooling neck, a mushroom-like thingy sticking out from the side of the head :)
You can see it on the right side of this picture, below the distributor and above the water hose:

Thank you so much LionTR, you're the best !!!

At first I didn't understand, then I noticed that something should be plugged on the "mushroom".
The brown plug was plugged instead of the blue, the blue wasn't plugged.

For other ppl, it might be useful: just plug the brown on the "Mushroom" and the blue on the pipe.
