I bought the car about six months ago. Its a 1988 gts. That's about all I know. Had 235000 miles when I bought it and I've put around 8000 on. The best part is the engine blew up 8 miles from the dealer! Whoo! The engine as been replaced, battery, altornator, plugs, wires, cap and rotor all replaced. Basic stuff. I only have one picture of it right now... but its been sanded down in spots now, ibe been fixing the body, but have gotten lazy the past two months so its not a beauty at all right now. Oh yeah and its an auto!

I live in the kent area of washington right now.

Id love to meet up, when its not so rugged looking... haha.

What happened to the backseat?

Looks like a custom rear seat delete. TBH, back seats are a bit cramped. Not so bad if front seat people are short lol.

  13. My sister's 6' tall bf rode in the back seat of my vert with the top up... I can't blame my sister for wanting to sit up front, as it's very cramped.

The gray is a primer so that it doesnt rust with all the rain. I had success with bondo on my last car in this weather. It should work as long as you get it sealed with a good paint job. water shouldnt be able to penetrate the paint, especially clear coat.

The back seat had no use to me, even when I had someone back there they had to lay across haha. I was planning on making hidden compartments in the bottom for my pistols with my electric fingerprint scanning lock boxes.... but like I said I got lazy =)

Sorry about all the pictures but if anyone is interested, this was the process. I kept all the seat parts so I could put them back in if needed.

Cutting the board to fit was probably the hardest part.

That is a very neat job indeed, well done !

I just wanted to do something that made the car even more unique! a bit overboard and may seem weird to people that dont support guns, but I need a safe place for it to be locked in my car sometimes. or maybe I just want to be james bond. Thats probably it.
