Yes, i meant tach and speedo. Any tips on doing the ae111 mod? And thanks for pointing me in the right direction :).

Okay, if you already have the donor ae111 levin/sprinter cluster gauge, you need to swap the tach and speedo gauges into the st162 cluster assembly.

On Ae111 tach, you will need to rewire the input signal from redtop ecu.

For the speedometer, the circuit board have to be relocated to fit into st162 cluster casing and modify the odometer reset button.

I could give the details if you've decided to continue with the mod. :)

Was the st202 shifter a direct bolt on? And I wanted to ask how you went about making your ac work. More technical please:)

ST202 Shifter mod is about 90% bolt-on :) AFAIR, just added washers and bushing.

AC system is still using relay-coil adapter (-IG emulator) using redtop ECU taco signal.
Some say you can make the AC work with ecu TACO signal, but I have't tried to remove the adapter though.

I will share simple instructions later, once I get the pictures taken during the conversions...

    ST202 shifter to ST162 modification

    ST202 shifter to ST162 modification:
(please click thumbnails for larger images)

    Parts needed:
Donor ST202 shifter assembly, optional bushing, washers, spacers
    [IMG]

The stock shift lever can be directly replaced by the one from ST202. The only difference is height and the lower lever arm (left st202, right st162),
    with improved shorter forward-backward throw.

    ST202 shift lever installed

The st162 and st202 selecting bell crank has a very small difference or improvement in the shifter sideways throw. Please see image below.
The st202 lever is just slightly longer. Besides, there is a difference with the offset, you can use the old one to make it simpler.

However, if you still want to use the ST202 crank (like I did) you'll need to have the washers, spacers, and sleeve/bushing.
    [IMG] [IMG]

The 5mm offset (from spacer/washer) is also needed to clear the part encircled in red (see image below)

    Done.

Just an update: The AC amp (from camry/avalon) works fine without the custom relay-coil adapter, just the TACO signal from redtop 3sge ecu.

Time to try again since summer has hit, what year, or generation are you getting ht ac amp from? does this fit in the factory location of the stock ac amp.
    thanks.

AC amp part number is 88650-07010, used on camry, solara, avalon 1994-2001 (from parts catalogs..i.e toyodiy.com).
It will fit the factory location if removed from its enclosure.

The new ac amp has 14 pins only, it should come with the female plug. You need to relocate some pins from stock 18-pin to new 14-pin plug.
I will post the conversion diagram later.

Glad to see you finally made it on here. Some interesting stuff youv'e done!
The driveshafts are from a V6 Camry or the FE?

    Hi Stig,

From a V6 camry, those with 6 allen head bolts.

Good to know, I thought so.
Fernando has been looking for ST185 shafts which are extinct in Africa but there are a few V6 Camry's there

Okay. BTW Stig, do you know if the European rear license plate panel would fit the USDM car? where could I find one?

    thanks in advance. :)

Thanks man, I would highly appreciate that, I cant even guess how you figured out that one.
So far the oil pressure sending unit had to be changed to the old one, the rev counter resistor changed, add a temp. switch for the radiator fans, and now this.

Yes, the licence plate holder is a straight swap.
Hard to find here also, check euro members listings as they are available
