Hey burakol here is what I have come up with as a final set up for my coil-overs, it is the one on the left. With this set up I'm running Koni Sport inserts, Eibach 7" 500 inch/lb springs and finally removed the brake cable guide from the housing.

Yeah those are the original housings with the perches cut off. I'm working on a second set today, so I'll take pictires for you to see what I mean.

How did you get the sleeve over to sit on the stock housing? Was there another sleeve you put over the house before inserting the springs?

If you order the sleeves to fit '86-'93 struts they just slid right over the housing. Bought a used set for an Integra, but sleeves were too small, but as long as it's a 2 1/2" diameter spring they'll fit! I usually cut off the perch, cut a piece of schedule 80 black pipe just big enough to fit over the housing and weld it about an 1 1/2" to 2" lower the original perch hieght. If I can find the old build picks of the red struts I'll post them up....

So it is necessary to cut the perch out... Yeah the build pics will be very useful to have a visual reference. I appreciate your time. Thanks.

Here's a visual example of why coil-overs are better than lowering springs.
This picture is with ST lowering springs.....

This is from same track with GC coil-overs in place, both pics running KYB AGX fr, GR-2 rr struts...
Second picture is exact same turn different suspension...

You can see how much flatter the car rides through the corners, it's a huge improvement!

These pics are of the new coil-overs being built and painted...

And the finished product on the car. I'll do a better job with the next pictures to show sleeve installation and all aspects of this build with the newer struts I'm building right now.....
