I'm not sure of the generation I need (3s noob), but I'm looking for a GE intake manifold and any top feed injectors that will fit. Here's a pic of my motor to help me find the right fit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Your motor is a gen2 3S-GTE found in early MR2 SW20 and Celica ST185

I'm assuming you're building it as a stock turbo on a tight budget? so let's stick with stuff that's cheap and easy to find

The best inlet manifold for this head is the 3S-GE gen1 (N/A) and cams are the 3S-GE gen2 or 3 (N/A).
You will need the T-VIS plate as well, do not delete the T-VIS mechanism! (street), gen1 GE cams will not work with this head

The best exhaust/turbo for this setup is the ST215 Caldina or ST205 exhaust/turbo

There are better exhausts and turbo's for those with huge budgets - more later

Stock injectors for the gen1 & gen2 GTE are ND 440cc, but you could opt for stock 560cc from an EVO 4/5 for some piston insurance.
The stock GTE gen1 or 2 fuel rail should suffice

Here's some food for thought, it's the same motor making 700hp+ - http://mr2.com/forums/show-off/Toyo...whp-high-comp-5sgte-full-race-6262-turbo.html

The limit for pump gas is around 400hp, but you will need to spend a lot of money and fuel to get anywhere near there.
At that level the 3S blocks start cracking and most opt for the bigger 5S block/crank

Damn I really need to dust off my knowledge of all this stuff. :study I feel like such a noob some days. I guess that happens when you get old and dont work on one of these for over 5 years..

Thanks for clearing that up! I didn't think to ask which year mr I got the 3s from, I am used to a 7m is a 7m. I've got some parts from old projects, rc eng 550's, pwr liquid i/c, greddy profec e-05 and like 4 ct26's though I'm thinking something more equivalent to the gt28rs. I'll just get the intake side done so I can put it back in the car, so I guess all I need is a gen 1 intake manifold. And I need to start searching for the knock sensors and other things I want done before I put er back up against the firewall.
