trick? maybe?

    im trying to get the passanger side cv joint back in and its being a pita. i bought a new snap ring but its still isn't being a pita. Is there a trick to getitng it on or do i just use brute force?

    easiest way ive found is to get the rotor out of the way as best as possible, line the cv shaft up dead center(as best as possible) {----} and thread the nut on till its flush, then rap on the tip while pushing inward with the shaft, you have to compress the joints as best as possible before raping on it with a hammer though, cause if the joints are pushed all the way in the boot will absorb your hammer blows. i just did this last weekend.

    Its the just joint, no axle attatched so no boot

    then i would just use the back side of a fiberglass style hammer(or wood) (in the cup) and just use another hammer to tap it in.

    is this just in a spare tranny or something? it seems odd that you would just be installing the cup and not the whole cv shaft
