my car had that happen every so often though not as bad, usually when it was really hot out. I thought maybe it had to do with the idle setting?

    check your ignition stuff first.
it does sound like you may have a vacuum leak. since the brakes are the linked problem i would make sure the booster didn't go bad.

i have this same problem with my car... its a strange one hey.. WELCOME by the way :)

if anyone has any way to solve this ill be one happy man... almost stalled it at the lights a few times just when its sitting there and idling rough!

EDIT: Mine doesnt happen when i am braking, rather when i was just sitting there after driving. but i replaced my intake piping and it seems to have fixed the problem !

haha agreed with vacuum leak or ISV. my idle is set nice and high so when it drops it doesnt come close to stalling. i cleaned out my tb quick with carb cleaner or w/e a few times and that normally fixes it for a few months...making sure to get in that isv hole...

but not sure cause this may ruin the valve or something else... haha im sure its fine though thats what the stuff is for

Yeah, I've got the same problem. I've noticed if I push hard on the brake pedal the idle drops, so that tells me it's a vacuum leak. I hope it's not in the booster, that can't be cheap or fun to replace.

Anyone else have an idea on this one??

I too have this problem. idles at about 800 and after its warm/hot out it idles at like 550-600. Also, if the car sits for a while after being drivin, it will idle at like 500 rpm for a few gears.

  8. -check your intake piping, replace it if you find any cracks in it.
-while your cleaning your TB with carb cleaner go ahead and clean out your AFM as well, be sure to pay particular attention to the air intake sensor.
-test your FPR, I had the same symptoms and traced it back to the FPR
-if you havent already done so replace all you vacuum lines, they should be soft, firm and plyable to the squeeze but not hard or brittle
-remember guys 20 years old, unlike us they are not in there prime at this age...
