I am looking to replace the speakers in my celica. does anyone have any recommendations for brands (links to the speakers greatly appreciated ). I have a pioneer deck (not sure about the model #) but its only a month old and I paid 150 for it.
budget? infinity is the best bang for your buck...alpine is second sky's the limit? bose, or boston acoustics
I installed JBL in the standard bass reflex housing. They play very good. The smallest series that was.
i wouldnt go too far if ur looking for coaxials. i liked the alpine S's\which rock for the price (if u have a discount). and like others, cant go wrong with infinity
I just put Infinity Reference 3.5" in the front and 4" in the rear, very sweet sound. Not much bass but that why they make subs. I got em on ebay for pretty good prices. Tom

haha it's OK, some old threads need revival :thumbsup: I've been a Boston Acoustics fan myself for a long time. I absolutely love my Boston comps :twisted I haven't got around to buying the ambient tweeters for them yet though :sad 2 tweeters up front would be siick :hehe
For a tight budget, I'd go with Rockford Fosgates. I got 2 pair of 4" that fit in the front factory slots and two 5 1/4" I modified to fit in the back for under $200 on eBay. Sounds great for their size, though I can choke them on bass pretty easily. Just got them to replace the OEM speakers which were barely functioning.
If you got Pioneer head-unit stick to the Pioneer speaker's it will give you good result's. Mine is a mixed grill also work's lol
