Hi! I've been a member of this forum for quite some time, thought it was about time I wrote a few words about my Celica. I bought this car for around 2000 USD during the winter of 2010/2011 from a great guy in Northern Norway who also had a neat st165. I sold my first Celica, the red at160 when I came across the black st162 at a Norwegian sports car club forum. After a really fun test drive I made the deal, and bought the car. I've had this car for 4-5 years now, and I've managed to do some work with it. Mainly repairs and minor tuning. I'm working as a radiographic technologist at the local hospital, and my skills as a mechanic is rather limited I'm afraid, so I haven't made huge plans for this particular car. As of now it's in a pretty good state I recon, as opposed to what it looked and felt like when I got it The engine currently mounted in the car is the 3rd, if I'm not mistaken, and it was thoroughly serviced before it went in the car. It has now run aproximitly 200,000 km, whereas the car itself has run about 430,000 km. Thanks! I'll post some pics of what the car looks like these days soon. Too dark outside at the moment. By the way, I'm not at all satisfied with the light output of my projectors. What kind of projectors are you guys running...? From 1.dec to 15th of january it's pitch black day and night up here, so I'd really like to install a pair of new ones. I've come across some kits on ebay, both HID and regular H4 but they're not really street legal here in Norway...
Welcome from the UK. Can't wait to see those new pics of the car as it is today. Do you use it everyday ?
Welcome! I love that photo of your AT160,was my wallpaper for a while xD Nice ST162,post some recent pics please. I use OEM projectors with regular H4 bulbs, but its really bad.Maybe some better lights like OSRAM Night breaker or something like that would help?I had HID for a while but like in your country is ilegal around here...
I've been using it as a daily driver since I got it, although not without some difficulties... Taken during my studying years in Tromsø, the Northern Lights City". The brown brick house in the backround was the Gestapo HQ in Tromsø during the 2nd world war. Rumour has it a person managed to escape captivity and questioning via a small window in the cellar... Note my former neighbour's 1970's swedish Volvo c303 truck got completely jammed under the roof one day when he tried to reverse out of the carport. Unbelievable amounts of snow during that winter. I'll try looking for some better bulbs, but I've bought myself a new A-B car and I'm currently looking for a place to store my Celi this winter.
